Fiesta del Vino de Burdeos / Bordeaux Wine Festival

Escribimos este post para contaros algo acerca de la fiesta más importante de la ciudad de Bordeaux, su Fiesta del Vino o Fête de le Vin. Esta fiesta se celebra en la ciudad todos los años pares, por lo que aquellos que visitéis Bordeux durante el año 2014 entre el 26 y el 29 de junio, tendréis la suerte de poder asistir, y por supuesto, todos aquellos universitarios que esten de Erasmus o pertenezcan a algún programa de intercambio.

Esta fiesta es un momento fantástico para conocer esta ciudad. La fiesta se organiza principalmente entorno al paseo marítimo, declarado Patrimonio Mundial de la Unesco, y donde podrás encontrar un ambiente festivo donde compartir cultura, gastronomía y vino junto a su más de medio millón de personas que la visitan cada dos años.

El gran protagonista de estas fiestas, como no, es el vino de Burdeos. En la Place des Quinconques, se levantan 8 pabellones (SAINT-EMILION – FRONSAC– POMEROL, MEDOC & GRAVES, BLANCS SECS & ROSES DE BORDEAUX, BORDEAUX - BORDEAUX SUPERIEUR, SWEET DE BORDEAUX, VINS D’AQUITAINE, LES GRANDES MARQUES DES MAISONS DE NEGOCE, LES COTES A BORDEAUX) en los que puedes descubrir las 57 denominaciones de origen de los vinos de Burdeos y las 23 de la región de Aquitania.

En torno a esta fiesta se elabora cada año un programa que engloba fuegos artificiales, espectáculos, catas, visitas a châteaux, conciertos, excursiones etc...

Una de las ofertas más atractivas de estas fiestas son los pases de degustación donde por el precio módico de 15 euros en pre-venta y 18 euros en la misma plaza, podrás adquirir 13 tikets de degustación y una bolsita para tu copa así como acceso a algunos beneficios VIP. Con esos tikets podrás degustar algunos de los vinos de burdeos con algunas de las joyas culinarias de la zona (magrets y foie gras del Périgord, quesos Ossau-Iraty, ostras de Arcachón, cèpes del Périgord (setas), pastel vasco, Jamón de Bayona, quesos de Guyana y Gascoña…) rodeado de un ambiente inmejorable, ya que la ciudad así como su fiesta respira un ambiente alegre y lleno de gente joven.

Durante las fiestas también se organizan una serie de unos cinco conciertos de artistas internacionales (uno cada noche) en La Explanade de Quisconces así como un espectáculo de imagen y sonido que da comienzo a las 23:00 horas y donde se reflejan en la Plaza de la Bolsa impresionantes proyecciones.

Un momento mágico de estas fiestas y que no se pierden ni jóvenes ni mayores son los fuegos artificiales lanzados cada noche a las 23:30 desde el río Garona y que pueden observarse desde el Puerto de la Luna. Todos los años hay un país o una ciudad invitada a las fiestas (en el 2014 será la ciudad de Los Ángeles).

Por otra parte, la oferta culinaria existente en las fiestas a modo de terrazas, puestos y stands de productos regionales, no tiene precio. Así que...ya solo nos queda esperar a veros en la Fête de le Vin el año que viene. Una gran excusa para comer, beber, conocer Bordeaux y vivir un gran comienzo de verano en este fantástico ambiente.

We are writing this post to tell you something about the most important festival of the city of Bordeaux, the Wine Festival or Fête le Vin. This festival is held in the city every even year, so those you visit Bordeux during the year 2014 between 26 and 29 June, will have the good fortune to attend, and of course, all those who are in Erasmus university or belong to an exchange program.

This fète le vin is a fantastic time to visit this city. The festival is organized mainly around the waterfront, World Heritage of Unesco, and where you can find a festive atmosphere to share culture, cuisine and wine by over half a million people visit it every two years.
The main attraction of these festivals is the wine of Bordeaux. In the Place des Quinconques, stand up 8 halls (SAINT-EMILION - FRONSAC-POMEROL, Médoc & GRAVES, BLANCS SECS & ROSES OF BORDEAUX, BORDEAUX - BORDEAUX SUPERIEUR SWEET OF BORDEAUX, VINS D'AQUITAINE, GREAT LES MAISONS DES MARQUES DE NEGOCE, Les Côtes A BORDEAUX) where you can discover the 57 appellations of Bordeaux and the 23 in the region of Aquitaine.

Around this festival is produced each year a program that includes fireworks, shows, tastings, visits to châteaux, concerts, tours etc ...

One of the most attractive of these festivals are the tasting passes where for the modest price of 15 euros in pre-sales and 18 euros in the same place, you can buy 13 tikets tasting and a bag for your drink and access to some VIP benefits. With these tikets can taste some of the wines of Bordeaux with some of the culinary gems of the area (duck breast and foie gras from Périgord, Ossau-Iraty cheese, oysters from Arcachon, cèpes of Périgord (mushrooms), Gateau Basque, Bayonne ham , Guyana and Gascony cheeses ...) surrounded by an excellent atmosphere, as the city and its party atmosphere is cheerful and full of young people.

During the festival also organized a series of five concerts by international artists (one each night) at The Explanade of Quisconces well as a show of image and sound that starts at 23:00 hours and which are reflected in the Square Bag breathtaking projections.

A magical moment of the holidays and not lose neither young nor older are launched fireworks every night at 23:30 from the river Garonne and may be seen from the Port of the Moon. Every year there is a country or a city invited to parties (in 2014 will be the city of Los Angeles).

Moreover, there is a superb culinary offering, on terraces, stands and stalls of local produce. So ... now we only wait to see you at the Fête le Vin next year. A great excuse to eat, drink, visit Bordeaux and live a great start to summer in this fantastic environment.
